SAW Touch Panel
Technology
It functions by sound waves; the waves are spread across the screen by bouncing off reflector arrays along the edges of the overlay and are detected by transducers of both X and Y axes. The transducers convert these electrical signals from the control card into ultrasonic waves sent to the array of reflectors on the glass surface, and the acoustic waves are directed across to the front surface of the glass by the array of reflectors. The opposite reflectors can produce a Z-coordinate axis response.
SAW technology offers drift-free stable performance that is always precise. SAW offers superior image clarity, resolution and high light transmission. It has excellent durability that allows it to continue working if scratched since the overlay for the touch sensor is a solid glass display. Low activation pressure force of panel required, it is easier for the user to operate.
